This is the one of several projects of the two studios I taught that year that began to investigate a surface project using digital technology. The starting point was an analog experiment, in this case using a smoke chamber and photographing the stages of the experiment. Then a laminating wood technique was used to produce an analog model that led to the digital model.
The project obtained the first place in this yearly competition and the president of the jury was Max Scogin.
